RLS Photoshoot: The Sequel

You didn't think that one photo shoot was enough for Royale, did you? We were just getting our feet wet! On October 19th, we will be having our second photo shoot entitled THE SEQUEL with a brand new look, brand new location, and ofcourse a brand new Queen. 

Royale will be shooting in Frederick, MD with the beautiful and chic Genesis! 

Genesis Garcia is a 17 year old bombshell aspiring to be a professional model. As you know, Royale believes in local talent so we were excited to team up! GG loves to travel and have new experiences. With a very outgoing personality, she was born to be in front of the camera. College student by day, this beauty is focusing on getting her degree as well as improving her craft everyday.

What's Ahead?

Royale has had a great summer! We resdesigned the website, launched the successful RLS tees, and even signed an amazing brand manager to help with marketing and advertising. We also have a great new brand ambassador and a few supporters who have made everything possible. But it's not over yet! What's coming ahead to keep your eyes on?

9/4/13 NEW DESIGNS: New designs will be launching at 8pm this evening featuring some customer requests and some cool stuff Tyrone and the team cooked up in the lab. Nothing but the best for the Lifestyle.

9/5/13 INTERVIEW: Tyrone and his partner Kinyette will be conducting an interview with Diamond Kesawn from Atlanta, GA. Diamond is nothing short of a hustler (Royale only works with go-getters!). Diamond is an on-air personality of the radio show Diamond Kesawn Presents. Radio isn't his only talent, he also dabbles in television and recognizing raw talent. Diamond is how we hooked up with current Brand Ambassador Jordan! Check for the official date of the interview release coming soon!

9/22/13 Royale Goes 360! Royale will be a VIP guest at the Fashion 360 Conference presented by District Fete. The conference is the premiere stage for the fashion industry in DC, and we will be there! We are going to be learning not only about fashion, but how to better showcase designs, business, and image.

And that's just September! November will be even bigger as Royale heads to Atlanta to attend a major fashion convention and potentially scope out a new scene. (Hint: Royale may be moving its crown to the A!). Stay tuned for all the exciting things that lay ahead for us and our KINGS & QUEENS!

Royale Introduces Jordan Antonia!

Jordan Antonia is a songstress hailing from the city of Atlanta, GA. She has won the likes of Pop Culture with her debut EP “A.D.D of the Heart.” Known best for her relatable lyrics and memorable image, Jordan advised that the Unique Style of Royale along with the Unique Style she herself has is a Match Made to Win. 

Royale is extremely excited about the collaboration. Tyrone, the CEO of the company, spoke on the merge saying that "we are really excited to be able to work with Jordan as the New Brand Ambassador in the South Eastern Region. As soon as we saw her pictures and looked at her Social Media we knew she would be the perfect fit. Not only is her look interesting but she is exactly where we want Royale heading in the future. We want to broaden our female presence and Jordan is the Perfect way to do it. She already has a Great following, and we are confident that this collaboration will be nothing but successful". 

Jordan will be the first Brand Ambassador to sign with Royale Lifestyle and we look forward to seeing the amazing things to come for this Queen. Reesa Renee Rocking Royale!

We told you that Royale was blowing up! You might recognize this young lady rocking one of the fresh RSL tees. Some are calling her the next Jill Scott! 

Ms. Reesa Renee sat down with TheDistrictInsider before headlining her own show at the Fillmore. Yeah, you could say she's kind of a big deal. Infusing neo soul and ecclectic beats, Reesa Renee has been taking the local music game by storm. Not only is her own personal style on point, but she's simply a cool & very down to Earth chick. A very rare quality that you see in performers today. Reese never forgets where she came from. Royale caught up with the songstress at an event at The National Harbor called Get Kids Movin' where she actively engaged and inspired tons of today's youth. If you haven't already been jamming to her debut album Reelease, make sure you cop that immediately on iTunes today! It's important that we support and uplift DMV talent! Reesa and her team have been nothing but supportive of Tyrone and Royale, so we are paying homage to a true Queen. Royale bows to you!

Lights, Camera, Action!

Royale wrapped up it's first photo shoot yesterday, and to say that it was a major success is an understatement. Royale kept it in the family with the shoot by having team members model and shoot the looks.

Here's a behind the scenes shot of the team members hard at work on set in Georgetown.

The Georgetown area was a perfect back drop for the mens and women's clothing featured in the blog. The main attraction was definitely the RLS tee. The tee is made for both women and men to rock out like royalty. Check out Tyrone and Vaughn modeling the silver and the reflective tees!

Royale Goes 360!

Royale and the team members will be attending District Fete's Fashion 360 Conference as VIP guests. 

The 360 Conference is the premiere event for people in the fashion industry to not only learn from each other, but to learn from the experts. The conference features workshops and events that help fashion entrepreneurs really launch themselves and their line. Tyrone is beyond excited that his team is going to be apart of the conference.

The Goldmine is the cornerstone of Royale's new sleek and futuristic look. This black tee combines classic flavor with a liquid gold color that is only right for our Kings at Royale. The Goldmine tee is just the beginning of the new partnership between Royale and our new design tees. We caught up with our owner and CEO today at his design meeting with his new team and his business partner. Not only do they have some amazing ideas up their sleeve, but now they have the team to produce it. We got a chance to watch the magic in person. From designing new logos to brainstorming tees and promotional decals. But we didn't leave the meeting empty handed. We had to bring something exclusive back for the kingdom to enjoy. In fact, we are going to show a special design for the ladies right now. This tank is a direct product of Tyrone's team and their creativity. So ladies we deliver a tee dedicated to the First Lady of Royalty, Ms. Marilyn Monroe.

A New Era

Welcome Back Kings and Queens!

Royale has undergone a tremendous makeover. With a new designer and some fresh faces on the team, we have completely revamped our game plan. And the kingdom has never looked better! Royale Merges with Music Industry

Remember when we said that Royale would be a movement much bigger than a clothing line? This is it! Royale has recently merged with a local music industry operated right out of Southeast, DC. This is for all the local artists looking to make good music and get their stuff out there. DC has some of the most talented young people around, and Royale will put us right on the map! Designer Spotlight: T. Blake

Ms. Taylor Blake is the next to be featured on the Royale Scroll's up and coming lisr. She is an aspiring designer from Miami University of Art and Design. Taylor has always had the passion for fashion since she was younger. Her dream is to one day be a celebrity stylist. Her designs are definitely made for the stars. Her style is something Hollywood needs right now! When Taylor isn't designing clothes, she enjoys painting and drawing. She also loves watching fashion shows and seeing clothes come to life on the runway. Don't get it twisted though, Ms. Blake has had her time behind the scenes of some fashion shows as well. She has worked on shows featuring Stella McCartney and Christina Milian. Blake says even though she is creating her own style, she loves Karl Lagerfield's clothing and astethic. Oh, she is also a new addition to the Royale Family. So, ladies look for some of Taylor's hot new designs that will be coming your way very soon! Royale welcomes T. Blake to the lifestyle.

Are Rihanna and Ciara Beefin?

Seems, like earlier this week there was some major beef between the two Queens of R&B. Ciara recently released a new track written by her boo Future called "Body Parts". After the release of the song, there was a YouTube video floating around of Ci singing the new joint a cappella in the bathroom. The video has a lot of hits, but I think the most interesting hit is the one from Rihanna and BFF Melissa Forde. Video girl Mel F tweeted and instagramed a pic of her and Rihanna watching the bathroom rendition of the song.

In the picture, the two are clearly laughing at what they are seeing with the caption referencing Ci's new video. Ci and Ri have had a few tit for tats in the past when their wires first crossed. Ciara fans have recently taken to Twitter bashing Mel for throwing shade Ciara's way. And, Mel has not held back with the shots either. She tweeted the other day in response to some Ciara fans:

"Royale Bows to A Queen": Model Spotlight

Born and raised in Washington, DC,  Yasmeen loves being in the city. As a full time student in college she is always busy.  During her free time she likes to paint, listen to The Weeknd, and serve the homeless. This drop dead gorgeous model is a mix of Black, Egyptian, and Irish. As a talk show host, Yasmeen is very enthusiastic, humorous, and fearless. The motive Yasmeen lives by is to "Kill with Kindness". Not only did Yasmeen grow up with Mr. Royale himself (they both attended Annunciation Catholic), her and Tyrone share the same motivation to be bigger and better everyday. Her style and fashion sense is so unique, Royale had to get our hands on her. Look for this one in the upcoming photo shoot for the Spring release!

Who is Quvenzhané Wallis?

That's the same thing I asked myself, until I saw that a popular online newspaper called the 9-year old the C word. Rhymes with blunt. Yes, they called the poor little girl a C-U-N-T. Now after seeing this, the Royale fam decided to check her out and do a little dedication to the young girl taking the movie scene by storm. Ms. Q recently became the youngest nominee for an Academy Award (Best Actress) in history. Oh, and did I mention she's also the first African American to be the youngest nominee. Sounds more like a S-T-A-R rather than the other four letter word used by The Onion (the newspaper). This 9 year old actress starred in Beasts of the Southern Wild, a drama about a small town in Louisiana. The movie was nominated for four Academy Awards including Best Actress. Now why would this bring someone to say such a negative thing? The Royale crew is shaking our heads. The Onion officially apologized and removed the Tweet, but still thats something a little girl won't forget. Tell us what you think about the Onion and their chose of words!

Did Django Get Robbed?

Recently at the Academy Awards, there were awards handed out left and right. Django was nominated for four awards and brought home two, but the kicker is that Jamie Foxx wasn't holding one. Neither was Kerry Washington or Samuel L. Jackson. I don't know if any of you saw Django, but it was amazing. Jamie Foxx finally did his thing on the big screen. Probably one of his best movies since Ray. Foxx portrayed the slave turned bounty hunter who teams up with a white man to track and capture American's most wanted. Samuel L also delivered a great performance (carrying the movie, in my opinion) as a house slave who has it out for Foxx from the jump. Definitely a winner for the Royale crew. But again, they all went home empty handed. So that raises the question, whats going on with the Oscars? The movie was good enough to get Tarantino best screenplay. So that means it was the best script, but none of the black actors won an Oscar? Hmmm, and Christopher Waltz (who plays Foxx's white partner) won best supporting actor. How come our boys didn't bring home the gold? The movie was clearly good enough. Tell us what your thoughts on about whether or not Django deserved more!

The Royale Family Signs local photographers Joy Imani, and Jamal Housen.

Joy Imani is a local student at George Washington University. She is 19 years old and has always had the love for photography and arts. Her personality and camera snapping skills inspired Royale LifeStyle© to sign her as their personal photographer for shoots, runways and outings. Joy and CEO of Royale LifeStyle, Tyrone Crossland Jr. are known as "BestFriends". Ms. Bullock enjoys college activities, bowling, and basketball. In high school (St.Georges School) she was know as a Tri-Season Varsity athlete (soccer, basketball, and track. WELCOME JOY! 

Jamal housen is an inner city video recorder and promoter who has an eye for the perfect set. Tyrone and Jamal grew up as middle school friends at St.Augustines private school. They were known as brothers and could be found at their local hangout spot at 14th and U St in their hometown of Washington, DC. They are now two young Entrepreneurs with big dreams just waiting to be accomplished. Jamal has Shot videos for local DMV artists and models. Some of his work can be found on YOUTUBE

Is Christina Milian Underrated?

The Royale team has been brainstorming about who to feature in the Battle of the Queens. We threw around the typical names like Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Ciara. Then I thought about Ms. Milian who used to be the baddest one doing it at one point. So we've decided to dedicate a separate post to see if she's still got it. 

We first saw the beauty in Love Don't Cost A Thing with funny man Nick Cannon (hmm, maybe Mariah Carey could be featured). Her style back then was very urban and "chick from down the street", but the face and the body were so on point we let her slide. Plus, we've all had our moments. She was rocking the blonde curls and the sultry stare that had all the guys drooling and the girls hating. Milian definitely hit the scene after that movie. She was trying in the style department, but it definitely wasn't as sophisticated as other actresses. But not to worry, Milian stepped her game up. 

I know every guy on the planet was trying to get they hellos in when she graced the red carpet. After Nick Cannon messed up his chances, who would have thought that the Dream would get his hands on this blonde bombshell?!? Much Respect to him for that! Not only was he dating the actress, but he even put a ring on it. The marriage was short lived, but the couple had a beautiful daughter during their stunt together. 

Her style started to upgrade a bit too. She went a little darker on the hair and elevated the class a bit. She was all over the movie screens too. Christina Milian is one of those girls that we all feel like we know. After Milian escaped her nightmare with the Dream, she really was trying to deliver a message. 

She is sexier than ever now! She not only raised her standards in men, but she raised the height of her heels too. We forget about this sister because she's been on the back burner for a bit, but not to worry. She is on the way to making a comeback. She can be seen on the Voice and on Tyler Perry's tv show (one of those "comedies" on TBS). Plus, she was just signed to YMCMB by Weezy himself. Not to mention she has pretty cute sidekick these days. 

Milian's style is sophisticated and sexy, definitely fit for a Queen. We hope to see more of her this year. Maybe a collabo coming soon with Weezy! I think she could definitely hold her own against some of the heavy hitters in the game. Props to Christina! She's back!
